It can also help your treadmill run more quietly and reduce friction between the belt and the treadmill deck. Lubricating your treadmill takes just minutes to complete and is relatively inexpensive.
Step 1Turn your treadmill off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on each side of the machine.
Step 2Gently lift each side of the treadmill belt so you can see the treadmill deck's surface and you can peek through to the other side easily.
Step 3Spray or squirt lubricant along the sides of the Non Stick Coating treadmill deck, taking care not to drip any on the floor. Wipe up any excess lubricant with a rag. For best results, apply rubbing alcohol to your cleaning rag or sponge. This will more effectively absorb any excess lubricant.
